You may pay attention to the standard operation of the workers during the production of the gravity casting machine. You may know that the gravity casting mold has a great influence on the castings produced, and you will try to avoid problems in the castings during the production process. But you know what? During the production of the gravity casting machine, do we need to pay attention to the time when the casting production takes out the sand core and pulls the core?

If the residence time of the sand core in the casting of the gravity casting machine is too short during production, the casting may not be cooled and formed, and the removal of the sand core too quickly will cause problems in the molding of the casting and deformation of the casting. If the sand core inside the casting stays in the casting for too long during production, the force generated by the shrinkage of the casting will increase and the core pulling force will also increase, which will reduce the production efficiency.

Therefore, when the gravity casting machine is produced, the sand core in the casting should be taken out when the casting is cooled to a certain temperature range and has sufficient casting strength. Appropriate core pulling and casting molding time are generally determined by experiments. PINO has 16 years of experience in R&D and custom production in the foundry industry, and can provide suitable production solutions for your products.
